Security from the Start

In addition to network and website security, Julep features provide the tools you need to customize the platform to fit the needs of your organization while keeping it secure.

From two-factor authentication to tracking user history, these features help you build a safe environment for your organization.

Rely on Two-Factor Authentication

Julep’s responsive design allows you to access the platform on any internet-enabled device. To ensure you have a safe connection, Julep requires all users to enable two-factor authentication when signing in.

One Account.
Unlimited Users.

Nonprofits need a lot of people to carry out their work. Julep’s flexible platform allows for unlimited users to be created from each account. With Julep, you never have to worry about managing the number of users, licenses, or seats on our platform.

Customize Permissions for Users & User Groups

Julep’s user permissions and user groups can be customized to create a secure system that fits the needs of your organization. User groups and individual access can be based on geography, job role, organizations, or any record attribute. Julep also allows organizations to enable differing levels of read and write access:

  • Read access—determine who can see which records.

  • Write access—determine who can make changes to a record.

This allows you to utilize Julep for volunteers or interns without risking access to donor or proprietary information.

Secure Transmissions
& Sessions

Every time you log into Julep, your session is identified and re-verified to ensure there’s a secure connection. Julep safeguards against unencrypted traffic on the network by using step-up certificates from GeoTrust via a TLS 1.2 connection. This is indicated by your browser displaying “https” in the URL.

Track User Activity & Changes

With Julep’s History feature, users can track and review all the changes made to a record and which account made those changes. If there is a mistake or unauthorized change, the History feature allows you to roll back to a previously saved version. With Julep History, users can also review who has accessed records and exported data.

Automatic Backups & Disaster Recovery

Julep’s backup systems take hourly snapshots of your data and replicate them in multiple locations using private links. Several months of full data back-ups are retained for all Julep clients using solid-state hybrid drives. Testing verifies the projected recovery times for restoring data as well as checking the integrity of the restored data. When physical drives are retired, all data is destroyed through a certified process from a third party.
